Session 3
We head up to the castle, which is not in the best of shape
Milhouse asks what exactly we’re looking for
Bammon tells him we’re looking for the cultists, heard they were hiding out here
Milhouse explains that there’s a candy factory under the castle and the cultists could be hiding there; Bammon is smarter than Milhouse thought he was
Inside, everyone is running around like chickens with their head cut off
Quartermaster Blooddribble is there yelling out orders!!
Blooddribble tells Bammon to check the foundation; the stairs have collapsed, there are keystones crumbling all over, it’s just a mess
Crawn double nat1s at advantage and falls ungracefully into the water below XD
As Milhouse is about to reach the water, his boots cause him to hover above it
There are piles of bone that look like they’ve been disturbed by someone moving to the west
Crawn finds the corpse of a CROCOGATOR that has been MURDERED
The crocogator has been stabbed a gazillion times; very sloppy
We check out a door but it’s locked so we decide to look around elsewhere
There is a random stone door connected to nothing
The door has a hole carved into it that is handle-sized
We open it from both sides but it goes nowhere
There are some chalk marks on the wall but they’re not legible
We end up getting the door to open up to a sewer system
We come upon a…bar??
Ell has Detect Magic up and sees that the bar is heavy with illusion magic
Ell asks Milhouse if he’s got any gadgets that let him see through illusions
Milhouse says no, raises his crossbow, and shoots the bartender
Following the scientific method, Milhouse also shoots both the patrons
The bolts go through them with no noticeable effects
ROLL INITIATIVE
A massive monster with no eyes appears
We kick its ASS
Ell loots one and Milhouse loot three Balhannoth tentacles
We find a hidden tunnel that has a gate inside
We hear pained, panicked screeching and roaring from behind the gate
Ell tells everyone that right there is a dragon
Bammon thinks that if the cultists had a dragon they would have used it against the city, and also if they have a dragon down here then they had a way to GET it down here, which seems unlikely
Ell Wild Shapes into a rat and scouts out the place
In cages there are two goats, a mangy puppy with leeches on it, a young dragon, and two displacer beasts
There are three rooms with cultists in them, plus an altar-like structure above rippling waters
Ell relays this information to everyone
Drex goes in to speak with the young dragon, telling it that we’ll free it and help it fight the cultists
