**Session 5 - 3/13/2024**

Ell thinks this puppy used to be some sort of fey creature

Bammon and Fish-Kicker would swear they’ve noticed Zup teleport

It has been one week since we fought the cultists in Binsogim

We haven’t heard anything about cultists since then

We’ve heard rumors that weird stuff has been happening in the other big port cities, including Harrogate

Going against one of the high captains of that city, and parts of the city are falling apart; it’s one of the older 
ports in Sogim

Speaking of Johan, we recall hearing that he was raiding in the East

The cultists hideout seems to be able to move around, or the one prisoner cultist teleported

A week after heading out, Captain Guanyin tells us that one of her peers has been looking into the kraken cult 
bullshit, which does not surprise us

Apparently the cultists are infiltrating some key ports

Guanyin wants several eyes on the ground in Harrogate to casually infiltrate Kamangara and let her know what 
happened to it in particular

Guanyin tells us that if Avercrumbie can get approval from all the High Captains, he’ll be allowed to use the 
Trench Lane

On our way there, Ell catches a 15lb silver-spike cod; they are mild and flakey with a buttery texture, best when 
pan fried with herbs

Drex catches a white and grey speckled 7lb frostbite flounder; delicate and sweet flavor, ideal for poaching in a 
light wine broth

On the second night, Ell and Drex hear soft singing coming from Avercrumbie’s room

There is a shimmery pink light

Ell has heard him sing this song before in the past; it’s both happy and sad, but Avercrumbie has never translated 
the lyrics

As he finishes singing, the light fades

Avercrumbie comes out and tells us he’s going to get a snack and take a walk around the ship

Drex notices that the light briefly flashes and he hears a voice

The next morning, the sky looks a bit… odd; it has an unnatural crimson glow to it

Bammon, Crawn, and Fish-Kicker can tell this is artificial; it wavers and wobbles like a bad effect

…and now the sea is a thick, black ichor

Bammon checks him compass, which points to the east, where we’re heading

It’s moving around bit but not too much

Bammon casts Detect Magic but can’t determine the school; he’s never seen anything like it

Fish-Kicker climbs up into the crows nest and spots burning ships mid-battle; terrible carnage

Ell, Drex, and Fish-Kicker see a body floating in a water, then the body flips upside down and there’s a weird 
starfish on its face, then the body sinks rapidly

Ell and Fish-Kicker see a man clinging to a barrel; Drex pulls him up

The man is badly wounded; Bammon heals him with Lay on Hands but it has no effect

The man is bleeding from several wounds; inside the wounds is black ichor

Fish-Kicker heats up a dagger to cauterize the wound; everyone notices the putrid stench and a scream that sounds 
like a scream layered on top of another scream

Bammon and Ell get hit by specks of the ichor blood; the specks smell of faint burning and there are faint etch 
marks left on his clothes as the speck moves

Belowdecks, Milhouse is investigating his cards; on one card he sees a building next to a river with a water wheel 
on the side of it

We use water to dilute and move/control the ichor into the ocean

The dude who was injured is now alright; he was on The Good Ship out of Zhengheim

Milhouse comes up from belowdecks with some of the ichor in a vial

Milhouse asks how and why we jumped dimensions?!??

Milhouse tells us the black ichor is not natural to this plane

Bammon, Milhouse, and Ell go below decks to make sure all the ichor is gone

After confirming there’s no more ooze, Milhouse asks Ell for his eyes

Ell brings one of the crew with him to make sure Milhouse doesn't take his actual eyes

Milhouse shows Ell a card from the magical deck he found in Binsogim, the card deck that was was blindingly bright 
when Ell had Detect Magic

Now the deck looks blank and normal, except for the one card with the mill on it

Ell tells Milhouse it looks like a mill from the mainland

Milhouse does not take Ell’s literal eyes

After Ell leaves, the other dude asks, “Why did you lie to him? That was the four of clubs.”

Ell didn’t see the four of clubs
